The Expedition Overland Vehicle Camping Side Awning range from Direct4x4 provides protection from the elements all year round; great for work or leisure! Choose your size, colour and wall style below. If unsure, please contact our sales team directly.

NOTE: These addons are only compatible with the Direct4x4 180/270-Degree Foldout Side Awning range (NOT the mini or hawkwing variations).

  • Parallelogram style privacy wind/sun break whether you are using the awning for work or leisure.
  • Made from the same durable 225GSM 420D Oxford polyester material as the awnings, including impregnated mosquito repellents. Waterproof, mould proof and rot proof with a 100% UV block out rate.
  • Very easy to fit and setup. Simply attaches to the awning using the installed zips and stitched-in Velcro.
  • Central 1.3mx2m zip roll-up door for easy access in and out of the unit.
  • Folds up and packs neatly away into a convenient carry bag.
  • 180 Wall: Height=2.25m (88.6in), front width=2.7m (106.3in), left/right width=3.4m (133.9in).
  • 270 Wall: Height=2.25m (88.6in), front width=3.4m (133.9in), front side width=2.7m (106.3in), rear side width=2.6m (102.4in).
  • End Wall: Height=2.15m (84.7 in), top width=1.98m (77.8in), bottom width=2.94m (115.7in).

End Wall Notes

  • Close off the open ends when used with the rest of the side walls via the c-channel on either of the outer arms of the awning.
  • Designed to be used on the rear open section of the 270-degree awning. If the 180-degree awning is fitted to the left side of the vehicle, it can be used on the rear open end of the awning and the front open end if fitted to the right.
  • You will need to remove the end cap from the end arm. If you want to seal the edge next to other walls, you will need to add Velcro to your existing walls.

Important Information

  • Ensure you have received all necessary components; if there's anything missing let us know right away.
  • Avoid using TFR (Traffic Film Remover) products as this may cause corrosion and invalidate the warranty.
  • Do not use expedition products in severe weather conditions.
  • Pack all expedition gear away securely before driving vehicle.
  • Expedition items should be dry before closing but if packed wet, open again at earliest convenience to dry fully.
  • All drawer storage systems/load bed covers/cargo trays/roof tents/vehicle awnings etc. should be closed securely before driving.

Fitting Information

  • We advise using at least 2 people to fit larger items.
  • For the majority of our side steps, no chassis drilling will be required. Undertray shields will need to be removed before fitting and trimmed around the bolt locations using a dia cutter or something similar. If you have any questions, please contact our support team.
  • For safety, check all bolts/brackets 7 days after installation and inspect all fixtures every 3 months.
  • Our roof tents and roof racks are designed to be fitted together. If using roof bars instead of a rack, we recommend 3 or more roof bars a minimum of 1.2m apart for safety.

Delivery & Returns

  • UK mainland orders are delivered within 5-7 working days, larger items may take longer. International shipping costs will be applied during checkout and are typically delivered within 7-14 working days.
  • Any additional charges for deliveries outside of the UK mainland, including currency conversions, local customs taxes etc. are wholly the responsibility of the recipient.
  • VAT will only be deducted for orders from outside of the UK. We are unable to deduct VAT for orders delivered inside the UK, even if they are to be exported at a later date.
  • For larger items, you may be contacted directly by the courier to arrange a delivery date and time convenient for you.
  • Some orders could comprise of multiple consignments which may be delivered separately.
  • If there is an issue with a delivery or you need to return an item, please call us on 01332 601016 or email support@direct4x4.co.uk within 14 days of receipt.
  • Any items returned to us must be unused, in a saleable condition and in the original packaging.
