What information do we hold?
Data received by our sales channels and contact forms will include name(s), email address, contact telephone numbers and address details. Payment card details, whether input by the customer or taken manually over the telephone ARE NOT stored by Direct4x4 Manufacturing Ltd. The legal basis for processing, handling and holding this personal data is drawn from the necessity to possess it in order to fulfil the expectations and instructions of our customers.
What do we do with your information?
The data we hold is only used for legitimate business purposes such as dealing with customer queries and processing orders received through our sales channels. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
How do I give my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

Direct4x4 Manufacturing Ltd. are committed to upholding the rights of our customers and allowing access to all the personal data we have on record for any specific individual. If you require access to this data, please write a formal request to the address below. Individuals also have the right to request the complete disposal of any personal data being held. If you wish to request this, write to the address below and Direct4x4 Manufacturing Ltd. will confirm with the individual in writing one the action is complete. PLEASE NOTE that we will need to verify your identity before carrying out these formal requests.

Who is Shopify?
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Who is TrustPilot?
TrustPilot is an open platform review aggregation platform. When you write a review, the review and your Trustpilot profile will be visible to anyone who visits our platform. By clicking on your profile, such visitors can see your country location and all the reviews you’ve written, including the locations and products you’ve reviewed, and your product photos or videos. Please remember that depending on the information you add to your Trustpilot profile and the username you choose, you may or may not be anonymous.

What happens with your information if you use the TikTok Shop?
When making a purchase from the Direct4x4 TikTok Shop, TikTok will share your information with Direct4x4, as well as third party logistics providers to deliver your ordered Product(s), and payment providers to facilitate your payment of the Product.
What types of personal data does the TikTok Shop use?
- Your name, address, post code, telephone number and email address;
- Payment details, such as your credit or debit card information, payment authentication code and billing address;
- Purchase and transaction history in relation to Products that you purchase from Direct4x4 via the TikTok Shop;
- Feedback or comments that you provide in relation to a Product or order;
- Logistics information in relation to delivery of your Product by a third-party logistics provider on behalf of Direct4x4;
- Products that you place in your shopping cart;
- Technical information such as your IP address, device ID, time zone and language settings; and
- information that we process when you contact us for support through the chat function provided by us via the TikTok Platform or by telephone, such as images of a Product or order, enquiries about a Product or order, or your evaluation of support services.
How does the TikTok Shop use your personal data?
Your information is used to perform our contract with you, where you order Products Offered by Direct4x4 via the TikTok Shop. This includes sharing your additional information with Merchants and third-party payment providers for the purposes of fulfilling your order and sharing your information with third party logistics providers for the purposes of delivery of your Product(s) on behalf of said Merchants.
Any information you provide and/or we collect from you when you contact us via our Platform or by telephone for support, for the purposes of providing you with user support regarding your order, which may include responding to or processing your queries, feedback, claims or disputes will be used to assist you with your support request.
The TikTok Shop service process messages sent or received between Merchants and Users to perform our contract with you. TikTok Shop may also process messages sent or received between Merchants and Users to investigate and resolve complaints or disputes between Merchants or Users. Such personal data is processed for the purposes of legitimate interests in investigating and resolving such complaints or disputes between Merchants and Users.
Your personal data may be used for legitimate interests to optimize and improve the features and functionality of the TikTok Shop and for risk management purposes and to prevent and respond to abuse, fraud, illegal activity and other potentially harmful content.
If you are visiting or using a related TikTok Shop application or website, your information will also be used to provide that service to you, to interact with you including by responding to you with the information you have requested, providing customer support or sending you marketing messages in accordance with your preferences.
How does the TikTok Shop share your personal data?
The TikTok Shop shares your information with Merchants and third-party logistics providers to facilitate your order and delivery of a Product from Merchants. To process your payment, your information will also be shared with payment providers including, in particular, Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Your information may also be shared with TikTok Shop affiliates to provide user support to you, as well as with Merchants to the extent necessary to allow the Merchant to initiate communications with you to provide you with user support under limited circumstances regarding your order, including the necessary steps to be taken in a situation when the Product is out of stock.
Note that Merchants and logistics providers may be located outside of the European Region, or the country you usually reside in.
What about other third-parties?
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. For example, we will need to pass on your information to our couriers so they can deliver the products to you. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
Our platform contains links to other websites, but that doesn’t mean we endorse those websites and their procedures for collecting, handling and processing personal data might be different to ours. For these providers and other third parties, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
What about security?
Appropriate measures have been put in place to maintain the security of our data systems. All systems are password protected with periodically changed strong passwords that are only known by management. Virus and malware protection is maintained across our internal business network and regularly updated in line with the latest available information. In all cases, any known data breach will be reported to the appropriate authorities and appropriate notifications will be made.
Will this statement/policy change in the future?
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, we perform data protection impact assessments annually and whenever we implement new technologies or processes so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
